hi there,

I recently downloaded and have been using Webroot's Spysweeper software and have been very impressed. Unfortunately the trial product has now expired and i was wondering if anyone could recommend a shareware product that is as good as this that i could download and run as a replacement. I would buy Spysweeper...but my cash flow situation is not at its best.

Thanks.

James

If you are running XP or Windows 2000 you can use the Microsoft® Windows AntiSpyware (Beta). It is comparable to SpySweeper but only seems to check the system files when you do a scan. However it runs in the background and will protect your computer from browser hijackers and the like.

There is always AdAware and Spybot also. They should be used in conjunction with any antispyware/adware product.
