My internet freezes then starts again whenever i click a link that is supposed to open a new window. it will just lock up then after a while resume without opening the link i clicked on. i tried clicking again and again and letting it lock up and start again but it never opens the new window. i tried turning off my anti-virus software then clicking it and it doesnt work. i tried closes internet and trying the same link again or a different site and different link but it freezes still. I'm not sure wat is causing it?

download and install ATF cleaner
then run it to clean your computer

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/atfcleaner.html

next download superantispyware
install and update it
then run the full scan

http://filehippo.com/download_superantispyware/

hopefully that will help

update your antivirus program and do a full scan with it

Hello Machinedar,

I only assuming you are using IE7.

What if you right click the IE icon on your desktop and choose Start Without Add-ons?

Or go to Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent, and reboot.
Order shall return.

im using internet explorer version 6.0
it seems to freeze every time the link opens a new window, so im thinking it must be something that deals with pop-ups but i tried turning off block pop-ups on IE and it still doesnt work.Any other suggestions?

Perhaps now that you are able to access the internet, and the Stop Errors are continuing, you should report these errors into your existing topic, in the Windows XP forum, "Stop Error" System Auto Restart.
Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent, and reboot.
Order shall return.
