Hi everyone! I'm having an annoying problem now in Windows XP Professional. On startup, I get the following error dialog for spoolsv.exe:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The instruction at "0x4feefa4b" referenced memory at "0x7c4ffe16". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Does anyone have any idea of what is causing this error to come up?

Click on start, run, msconfig and press enter. Then click on the startup tab and uncheck any printer drivers that may be starting automatically. Reboot and see if the error is gone

spoolsv.exe is the the spooler service is responsible for managing spooled print/fax jobs.

So its not definitely needed, but maybe you should take a look into it.

Actually without spoolsv running, printing will not work. So if you want to print, you do need this service running.
