hello--i have recently noticed another persons computer icon and music playlists in my Windows Media Player. On further investiagtaion to my horror i have discovered that it is a family next door and their teenagers music that appears in my Music library.

i am really concerned that my security has been breached

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium. Kaspersky Internet security and Spyware Doctor all up to date in fact my computer was purchased in Jan 08.

My compuper is connected to a D-Link Adsl Router and another computer (my daughter) is wireless connected to mine.

could you advise me in how to block this unwanted user for ever --i am really shocked that they are using my connection somehow

You'll have to put security on your wireless router - that's most likely how they're getting onto your network. What's the exact model number of your D-Link ASDL Router?

I wouldn't call the cops just yet, I was in a community of golf course villas trying to fix a friends wireless connection, when I got it up and running I found 10 wireless networks, 5 open and 3 of those named linksys

I had to turn his off to confirm I had connected to his not a neighbors

And then had to reset it to surf into it cause he forgot his password

No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.

I had a guy come into my shop complaining his wireless was broke. I checked his laptop out and it connected fine - so I asked him about his router. Turns out he didn't have one!

He'd been "leeching" off of a neighbor's connection - and the neighbor caught on and blocked him!

Directions for setting up your wireless:

http://www.dlink.com.au/tech/

Here is the manual for your router and it will explain the full setup, but you should just need to set up the wireless :

ftp://files.dlink.com.au/products/DSL-G60...T_GenII_QIG.pdf

Let us know if you need more information than what is given here.
