Hi,

* Please visit this webpage for instructions for downloading and running ComboFix:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

This includes installing the Windows XP Recovery Console in case you have not installed it yet.

Post the log from ComboFix when you've accomplished that, along with a new HijackThis log.

Hi,

Please read the instructions again... because it is also explained there how to install the Recovery console with Combofix... so you don't need the CD.

it gives a "Date error: Sat 03/31/2007" "Check your settings"

We are 2008 already, so please adjust your date.

Rightclick taskbar > time/clock settings to adjust it there.

Hi,

Please set your system to show all files.
Click Start.
Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.

Then navigate to and delete the following file:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\njbdgqcc.ini

Then, scan with HijackThis and check next entry in it:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows live Messenger] msn.com

Then, * Go to start > run and copy and paste next command in the field:

ComboFix /u

Make sure there's a space between Combofix and /
Then hit enter.

This will uninstall Combofix, delete its related folders and files, reset your clock settings, hide file extensions, hide the system/hidden files and resets System Restore again.

Let me know in your next reply how things are now.
