My version of xp does not pass the validation test. Therefore an annoying box pops up very often and freezes whatever I'm doing at the time. How can I eliminate this pop up. I am not prepared to spend $149 for the genuine advantage kit. Thanks, Russ ps I am still getting all the updates from Mirosoft.

how can you get windows updates when your copy is not valid
dont think you will get help here unless your windows are genuine
go to this site and click on validate windows
it will let you know if your copy is genuine

other than that your not in that much luck

and june 30 2008 is the deadline
windows xp will no longer be available to buy
so its better to buy it now than wait
only the updates will be available after that
