It was tough just getting scans to run, but I managed to get a lot of stuff cleaned off through adaware, spybot, avg, and spydoctor. I ran Symantec's online virus scan. On the other pc I ran Housecall and Stinger with no results at all so I didn't spend the time on this one to do it.
ATF-Cleaner and CClean on both machines which has made the other machine run faster and this one run at a more bearable speed..less lock ups. I have installed sygate's personal firewall on both and that has seemed to help as well.

Here is the hijackthis log for this machine, I also have a combofix log if that would be helpful. Thanks so much for the help.

Hello!

Please read this post completely, it may make it easier for you if you copy and paste this post to a new text document or print it for reference later.

( 1 )

Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6/05

Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications".
Click the "Download" button to the right.
Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
The page will refresh.

Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.

( 2 )

I see you have Viewpoint installed.

Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without users approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad".

This will change from what we know in 2006 read This Article.

I suggest you remove the program now. Go to Start >Settings> Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs if present.
  • Viewpoint
  • Viewpoint Manager
  • Viewpoint Media Player

Also remove this if found:
  • Zerobar

Also Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
Reboot your computer.
Then from your desktop double-click on the download to install the newest version.

( 3 )

Please download Combofix to your desktop.
  • Double click on Combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log & a fresh HJT log in your next reply
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Please let me know the results.

Hello! Looks much better already!

There are some startup objects that are unnecesserry and they might slow down your computer more or less.

But if you want, i can make a list of those objects and then we can get rid of them, you are able to enable the startub object(s) to start again if you need them.

Are you receiving any other problems?

Let me know.

Thanks Rahina..
The list of startup objects to stop would be great, thanks!
Other than that things seem to be running as well as they are going to..I've told them all along the machine is overtaxed for the RAM, but people expect miracles from their pcs.
I appreciate your help! Hope your weekend has been a great one.
