Hello, and thanks for helping.

I just got internet on THIS computer. Transfered files FROM the interent from a different computer to this one, though. When I got internet I did a sby-bot S&D and Adaware scan, and nothing major came up except "abetterinternet.aurora". I removed it (or so I though) and went on enjoying my internet.

About for days later, I would notice that my mouse (and whole system) would freeze for a second and go for a second on and off, for about a minute at a time. I then noticed it would do that when I started a new program or window. Not only that, but it takes forever really just to navigate my compter due to this, and the computer also takes FOREVER to boot up. The "Windows XP loading bar" will get stuck half way through its booting and go a minute later. The mouse wont even respond on the log-in page for about 20 seconds.

If what I have is abetterinternet.aurora, I have every symptom BUT pop-ups and internet slow down. Its wierd, and VERY frustrating. Im going to be going to college soon and I cant suficently work on a computer like this!

My Hijack this Log: (Note: I know about the antivirus override, cause I did it. Norton expired and Im broke. Any suggestions for a free antivirus?)

I apologize for the very long delay. We have a huge backlog of HijackThis Logs to handle and it has been taking us greater time than normal to get caught up. If you are still having a problem, and want us to analyze your information, please post a brand new HijackThis log, along with a description of any problems you are experiencing. If we do not hear back from you within a couple of days we will need to close your topic.

When posting your logs please post them directly into the reply. Do not attach them.

Thank you for your patience.
