Hello,

I am new to this forum. I am a software engineer with 25 years of experience.
I generally don't trust the advise given on the web, nor do I offer it.
Nonetheless, my collegues have indicated that this forum can be "TRUSTED".
I own several computers and manage to keep them virus free. That is until
my daughter drags one off to college. I am currently being vexed by a virus problem and have spent
about 10 hours attempting to clear it without success. I will be posting my problem soon.

Welcome to BC!
While one should always take advice given on any forum with a grain of salt, you will find our Trusted Advisors, Staff, and long-term Members trustworthy sources because they have the experience and expertise to provide help or at least NOT to give "off the cuff" solutions.
Regards,
John
