I am testing an MGD machine with a Pentium D 3 Ghz processor, 1 Gig of RAM running Win Media Ed updated.

There seem to be random errors on startup so I ran memtest 86 and found errors. I took the ram modules to a national repair / retail outlet and they could not generate any errors when tehy inserted the ram into one of their machines.

I returned to my office, ran the test and once again got the errors immediatley. I took the machine back so they could test the machine and they could not reproduce the errors running their copy of memtest. I gave them my copy of memtest and watched in horror as no erorrs appeared.

I returned to my office, set up the machine, ran the test and the errors appear again immediatley.

I am about to pull my hair out because I cannot think of what might be casuing this.

Any thoughts would be greatly apprecitated, thanks

I would compare the BIOS settings in their machine to yours for any differences
I assume it was working before, correct?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
