ok so i tried to use this method of fixing my hal.dll and i followed the first comment instructions by DON HO http://dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?hal my only problem was my computer only would start up and ask for the xp cd to finish installing a second windows xp on the same partition and i couldnt get past that. So i installed it again on the same computer in a different folder. I want to delete the second installation of windows xp because i only used it to fix my hal.dll file . So how do i get rid of the second one and boot back to my orinignal xp installation without losing any data? NOTE: this is all on a different computer.
