Hi!

Our family computer has got loads and loads of problems including bad sectors and all that. I've decided to backup and re-format the hard drives. The problem is holding down Ctrl or pressing F8 does nothing at startup?!! No floppy drive so I cant put in a boot up disk or anything. I can load DOS in xp
but not out.

Could anyone have any ideas to what I could do?

Thanks Ben

Can you boot from your CD ? Try entering set up and put the CD first in the boot order . Do you have the windows CD ? What kind of computer do you have ? Does it have a floppy controller ? A used floppy drive is about $5 at the used computer stores . You could download Digital Dolly ]Digital Dolly[/URL] and burn it to a CD . It is a powerful (freeware) utility that allows you to format/wipe/partition and several other thing that are useful . Check it out .
