I am waiting for sp3 to go gold and then I will slipstream it into my cab files and then run windows as a repair disk

and if that goes OK I will then do a clean install with it

it's a big hassle to hook a floppy drive up for my F6 sata drivers

I have RC2 installed on this system and I recently ran sfc /scannow from a CD with SP2 installed. So I imagine that I can do a repair install with same CD.

What is the exact error message you received?

Well, I don't get that screen when I shut down and I don't have MS.Net installed so I cannot input re either.

On that error message, some input from MS: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/242917
