I came to work and logged onto my computer to find the "Warning You're In Danger of Spyware" background. The computer was running extremely sluggish and there were many pop ups. I'm afraid I got eager to solve the problem and followed the instructions from another post on this website dealing with a similar issue.

I used SDFix and Combofix. The problem seemed to be gone but when I tried to use my Task Manager, the funtion is grayed out and unaccessible. I also noticed when the computer starts up I see a flash of a command prompt screen that disappears quickly.

I'm currently running Windows XP Professional with Symantec Client Security. As I am typing this I just received a notification from Client Secuirty of Trojan.Vundo A0000037.dll Trojan Horse A0000092.exe

Any instruction would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to BC.
It seems that your security system has found some viruses. I recommened you download SuperAntiSpyware from this link:SuperAntiSpyware It should be able to delete those trojan viruses. I also think that the viruses are causing you taskmanagement unaccessible. If it still doesn't work please reply in your next message

Warning: ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer.

I suggest using superantispyware, listed above, and posting a HiJackThis log using these instructions

First, use the Preparation Guide before posting a HJT log, follow all the instructions.
Then, Post a HJT log in this Forum, the HJT team is busy, so it will take up to 5 days for a response.
If you haven't had reply in 5 days, post your topic URL in this topic.
