Greetings and salutations all readers!

Although I've been using, fixing, repairing and building computers since I was no taller than my dad's knee (about four) this is the first computer related forum of which I have registered membership. It never crossed my mind, actually until recently. I can't say I'm at a level of expertise to match 22 years of computer experience, but I know enough to get myself out of a jam, as I have done many times (Thanks, Bill Gates!)

I'm currently and reluctantly employed as an aircraft mechanic at L-3 communications. I'm not into computers because I took a wrong turn somewhere and found myself where I am now. That being said I've started to turn back into the right direction towards the goal I set for myself many years ago and only very recently was afforded the opportunity to do so. If the question is in your mind, I've always dreamed of being an artisan computer programmer.

I see computers as art. Every detail is meticulously scrutinized and perfected until I'm satisfied.

I'm not claiming to be an expert, just a perfectionist.

Finally I look forward to digesting all these forums have to offer and maybe even throw in a few words myself as I have so loquaciously done here.

The Appollinian harmony and symmetry are certainly like a computer, but I wonder about the Dionysian frenzy and elan that is also a part of art.
