Hello,

It looks like people have been able to get some help so here this goes. I have completed the steps outlined before you are supposed to post in this forum.

I have run smitfraud in safe mode and completed the clean.
I have downloaded spybot and Ad-Aware 2007 and run both. The spybot found the Virumonde virus and cleaned that one out. Ad-aware found 46 infections and cleaned those out.
I also initiated sygate personal firewall.

Before I ran any of these steps I noticed hundreds and than thousands of pos files in my documents folder. I would erase them and than when I rebooted my computer they woud be there again. My cpu would spike from 50 to 80 and than hover around 100 percent and than my computer would lock up and would have to be hard booted.

After running these steps above the pos files no longer seemed to be in my documents folder and I did a search of my c: drive and could not locate any there. However my Cpu still is running at 100 percent. So I have done the hijack this log and here it is. If anyone can help I would be so gratefull!!!

Hello r1mojo,

Before we start, you need to realize that you are missing one important program on that computer: An antivirus.

This is somewhat suicidal in today's digital world.

You need to install an antivirus program as soon as you can and run a complete scan of the computer.

I recommend you download the free

Avast or
AntiVir or
AVG antivirus

Products from all three vendors received the Virus Bulletin's VB100% award and certification for virus detection from ICSA Labs.

Never install more than one antivirus scanner or firewall on your system! Several together can give you problems and decrease the reliability of it seriously!

After you have run the antivirus program, post its log and a fresh Hijackthis log.
