Hey all,

Trying to uninstall the VirusHeat trojan adware program. A few problems are occuring. When I try the automatic fix posted on the main Bleepingcomputer site I get "Problem encountered with Internet connection. (ARM1054,2)" I don't know what that is, but I am connected to the Internet so...weird.

So I attempted the Manual fix. I got to Step 9, after making all System32 files viewable via the Tools > View menu as outlined in Step 8. I could not see any of the .dll files listed, and the Note below this step mentioned that I should post a note here. However, sub-step 6 of Step 8 mentions skipping to Step 11 if I still can't see the files. I don't know if they are still hidden (somehow?) or if they just don't exist. Can I just reboot in Safe Mode and continue the steps as planned? If anyone can help with the problem with the Automatic fix, that would be equally helpful.

Regards,
A
