What is the make and model of your computer?
Have you been saving things to the D: drive?

On some systems the D: drive contains the recovery files necessary to restore your computer.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

My computer is a HP Pavilion a 1737c. I recently purchased an external hard drive to use to backup my files and under My Computer and it is listed as Local Disk (K).

You forgot to answer Usasma's question:

Have you been saving things to the D: drive?

Check whether your D Drive is actually running out of space:
Start -> My Computer -> Right-Click on the hard drive and select -> Properties
