I have Windows XP. I update all programs and files religiously. I have Zone Alarm firewall, Spybot S&D, Adaware, Host file, Free internet washer to clears cache/cookies/temp files etc. Site advisor. I show no spy ware or viruses.
I use Firefox as a browser.

My trouble lies with Internet Explorer 7 on my Dell laptop. If I use explorer tab in firefox (an add on) or explorer browser it will tell me I need to debug script. It goes into Microsoft Script editor but I know nothing about how to use it. I did find how to turn off the alerts and this made things more peaceful. As time went on I found IE shutting down in Firefox. I would try to enter a site by using IE and it would show the site then give me the 404. Sometimes it would go to a Dell search page. I suspect a redirect. The sites are common ones such as AOL.com. There are some sites I must use that I can enter in Firefox but to pull up reports it needs IE. I can no longer view these reports.

Here is what the script editor page looks like.
