i appreciate you answering my post. the problem is that when i go to the link , or where the registration page should be , all i get is a plain page with like a table of contents on it. so i went down to the 'home edition' and clicked on it and was taken to another page just like it ,so i tried various topics and got sent right back to the first page again, every time. it's really frustrating me so i just thought i'd ask for help before i go out and spend money on something i already know i don't like.

Try uninstalling it and then get a new download and install. The initial install is possibly corrupt.

i have posted here before but i could never find the time to log back in lately. my trouble was with 'avast! antivirus 4home edition' . when i tried to register, all i got was a plain "script" i don't really know how else to describe it. it's just a plain list, like a table of contents but, when i try to select a subject, anything besides the istallation guide, it sends me to another page with the same plain script. it looks almost like what i see is 'pasted' over the top of the registration page so i can't register. does that make sense?

If it doesn't work try a different anti-virus or try copying the installer package to disk from another computer. Mac rarely get viruses but now hackers are going after macs :flowers: Avast wasn't too helpful for me but it gets a lot of cookies  Maybe it's a hacker preventing you from doing that.
