Due to some technical issues, I can only choose between these two LCD's (Both are TN). I plan on getting PVA/IPS later on.

SAMSUNG 245BW: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx..._-24001234#spec

NEC ASLCD24WMCX-BK: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...Tpk=ASLCD24WMCX

Here's the spec for my rig:

Window Vista Home Premium
Q6600 Quad-Core (8MB L2 cache,2.40GHz,1066FSB)
2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz - 2 DIMMs
nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB x 2
500GB - 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache

---

On to the the comparison:

I made a chart of the differences between these two LCD's (They're pretty much 90+% identical spec-wise).

All I need now is you guys' opinion. This will be my first LCD ever, and I will mainly be using it for casual stuff (gaming, surfing, etc). The 245BW seems to be 10x more popular than the NEC, though. Thoughts?

The choice is yours, I would probably go for the NEC seeing as it has the few extras. But then again, Samsung is a very good brand, which I use myself.
