Dear group,

During the past week I have experienced a sudden and unexplained decline in performance. I am certain it is due to high CPU consumption since the task manager displays a high percentage utilization (especially for explorer.exe).

I have confirmed that I have no viruses present on my system using online scans from Panda Software and Symantec. I have also cleaned and defragmented the registry, checked for spyware, adware etc and yet my performance is still very poor.

I am running Windows XP (SP2) on a Dell laptop.

Please find attached my HijackThis log. I am quite desperate and would be very grateful for any leads or assistsance.
