I'm working on a new Toshiba with Windows Vista and for some reason anytime you try to download from the internet IE locks up and restarts and goes back to the homepage. My initial thought was a firewall setting, but everything in internet settings, the registry editor and the firewall checks out OK.

Any ideas on the problem? I still think a setting is off somewhere.

Hi, have you tried Tools>Internet Options>Advanced and clicking reset internet options? Try that If u haven't and that should unlock it. It might be a security setting.

That appears to have fixed it.

As always, thanks for the information.
