I read through the topics related to lack of audio with webcams and didn't see any that were similar. However if i missed something, my apologies.

Here goes. I have a new logitech webcam. I installed it properly and it works fine (except for audio) I can make movies with good video and audio. I can take pictures.
What I can't do is make a video call and have audio. Video is fine. Just no audio. My Dad has a different cam and is having the same issue. We can see each other, but
neither of us can hear the other.

We have tried both yahoo and msn messenger programs. Same results on both.

We have both been through our respective cam's setup several times and everything tests out correctly. I have scoured logitech's FAQs etc and have tried every suggestion they have with no success.

Can anyone help? I don't want to have to buy a seperate mic when I know this one works.

Thanks for your time.

Go to the Control Panel and double click on Sound. Select the Voice tab the click on the Volume button by Microphone. The microphone volume is on the right. While you're there, click on the Advanced tab. You'll see a checkbox for MicBoost. If unchecked, check it and see if that works

I also have a Logitech webcam...when I installed mine, one of the tests on the software is an audio check. Did you complete this?

It might not hurt to try the install again...
