In a moment of poor judgement I looked for a program that might convert ringtones for my cell phone and downloaded something off of Limewire. Since then I have had now end of annoying and disableing attacks on my system. Everything from Battlenknight to graphic pages advertising "Horny Matches.com" I have tried to identify all of the websites that this stuff is at and place it in the restricted zone in the securtiy optiions of my brwser. This has helped some but there are a couple of pages that just seem to keep coming up that I can't seem to get stopped. They are ones that often will end up hanging up my browser and requriing an end task command in Task/manager as they are not responding. Primary offenders are Redittty and Searchcompleteness.com and Individ-search.com Anew one showed up last night something about local search. I suspect a site called ebticker but have been unable to block it. My browser is being hijacked to these sites. Occassionally While browsing my system will make a rapid series of sounds (the same sound as it makes when one navigates to a new webpage and then I will get a multitude of new windows opening on my screen. My soution for this has been just to use the reboot button.
Another part of the issue is that I will get banner ads appearing on some of the sites that I normally visit that advertise things like "loca ameateurs" along with graphic pictures. I have used the cleaning routine suggested here before running this Hijack ths. I am not currently running ZoneAlarm as I have found that it slowed my system to the point of being hardly usable. Perhapos this will change when I get some of the other issues sorted out.
Sometiimes it seems as though some of these activations of hijacking are when I use the back button on my browser bu not always.
Is it possbile to eradicat this stuff?
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I apologize for the very long delay. We have a huge backlog of HijackThis Logs to handle and it has been taking us greater time than normal to get caught up. If you are still having a problem, and want us to analyze your information, please post a brand new HijackThis log, along with a description of any problems you are experiencing. If we do not hear back from you within a couple of days we will need to close your topic.

When posting your logs please post them directly into the reply. Do not attach them.

Thank you for your patience.
