Last night I downloaded a zip file from LimeWire that was infected. I scanned it with McAffee when i downloaded it and it came up clean. Then when i opened it an error came up which i can't remember. I ended up closing out of LlimeWire after the error. My anti-virus was already running and kept stopping when it got to edeeg.ini. Then LimeWire would start up by itself. When i first set it up i chose not to share any folders, but one of the times it started up by itself it set my c:\fonts folder as a share. I figured that was a bad sign, so i uninstalled LimeWire. I then spent the rest of the night searching sites like yours trying to figure
out what i had and how to get rid of it.

Here's what i have done so far.
- ran McAffee - found nothing

- Changed folder view to unhide OS files and show hidden files and folders.

- Found n.bat and winLogon.dll in c:\ (deleted them)

- ran AVG - found
C:\Documents and Settings\Munafos\f.exe -> Not-A-Virus.PSWTool.Win32.FirePass.a : Cleaned with backup (quarantined)
C:\Documents and Settings\Munafos\Local Settings\Temp\removalfile.bat -> Not-A-Virus.Adware.Virtumonde : Cleaned with backup (quarantined)

- ran Vundo Fix - found nothing 3 times

- Hijackthis - Got report and googled odd entries. Those that came up as viruses i had Hijackthis fix.

- Unistalled Java

- Started in Safe mode and ran ATF Cleaner - cleaned all files and Firefox files

- Made delete.bat file and ran it containing
(cd %windir%\fonts
if exist ' rd /q /s ')

- ran SpyBot - Don't remember it finding anything

- ran Stinger - found nothing

- ran ComboFix
It deleted

in the Find3m section one of the things it is displaying is
- 2007-01-10 16:15 282,636 ----a-w C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\Setup.exe (i can't find the setup.exe file in the folder)

Then i figured it was time to become a member of this site since i don't know what i'm looking at in the log file.
After i signed up i read the intro for the forums and saw that running BitDefender was recommended so i just ran that.

- found
c:\QooBox\Quarantine\C\Windows\system32\edeeg.ini.vir Infected with: Trojan.Vundo.DVS
c:\QooBox\Quarantine\C\Windows\system32\edeeg.ini2.vir Infected with: Trojan.Vundo.DVS
The disinfection failed and deleted the files.

I also just installed Sygate Firewall.

Here is my latest Hijackthis log

I apologize for the very long delay. We have a huge backlog of HijackThis Logs to handle and it has been taking us greater time than normal to get caught up. If you are still having a problem, and want us to analyze your information, please post a brand new HijackThis log, along with a description of any problems you are experiencing. If we do not hear back from you within a couple of days we will need to close your topic.

When posting your logs please post them directly into the reply. Do not attach them.

Thank you for your patience.
