I am a newbie so please bear with my meager knowledge :flowers: In an effort to speed up my PC and to eliminate some slight erratic behavior I am trying to eliminate any prgrams that I do not use or need. My PC is an HP A630N and I use the XP system Can anyone tell me what the abbreviation HPHMON05 means and do I need it, my normal usages are pretty basic so if there are sophisticated programs running that take up a lot space in my pc's capabilities I want to get rid of them, thanks much

Google is your friend!

And the 4th link on that page points here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/h...5.exe-2023.html

And that says that it's not needed unless you want the Hp Printer monitor to detect flash cards when they are inserted into the printer and automatically start HP Photosmart.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
