I often get the message

Sorry, the board administrator has enabled search flood control.

Does that mean I have almost opened a flood gate or something.

If you only knew how I constantly mess up my computer....

I would hate to be the lunk who accidentally floods the entire place.

I know..I know

Go ahead and move this to the appropriate forum

Yep, it's happened to me too, Martel.

Take a look at this topic:

Yes, you may be receiving this problem but in the topic that TMack just showed us, Grinler is looking into a better server which should fix the problem.

Regards,
David.

I am amazed at the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes here to keep things running.

Yes, the admin are very busy people and without them, this site would not be possible. Well done Grinler, Animal, Papakid, Groovicus and all the HJT Team other members that help.

I would like to help.

Although my BC knowledge wouldn't dot an eye..

Well, it might amount to a snowflake in a blizzard. (beaming proudly)

Well first, you need to show that you are able to help by being a regular poster on the forums that provides valuable and helpful information. If you keep this up, you may be offered to become a BC Advisor. Continue the good work and there is even a chance you might become a moderator, but it is very hard to get to that level and you need to show lots of commitment to BC.

Regards,
David.

Just some advice, it will take time, effort and commitment before and if, you get selected as an adviser.

It takes awhile and its not just what you know and what you can provide to the users, but HOW you do it as well.

Well, BC Night Watch man and Hardware Guru are custom titles which those members have created once they reach 1,000 posts. THis is also a good reference guide;

1 Monitor - New Member = 0-14 posts
2 Monitors - Member = 15-149 posts
3 Monitors - Forum Regular = 150-349 posts
4 Monitors - Senior Member = 350-599 posts
5 Monitors - Distinguished Member = 600-999 posts
6 Monitors - Forum Addict = 1000 + posts (at this point, you can change Forum Addict to anything you want)

Posting in the Forum Games does not raise your post count.

Regards,
David.

Thank You for that info.

I have been a member over a year now, looks like I better get buzy to reach my next benchmark.

One last question...

I have a support post thats over five days with no response.

I know there was a place for mentioning that but cannot remember how to find it.
