When Windows Update installs the Windows Genuine Advantage tool (KB892130) , It needs to install an active-x plug-in. It usually notifies you with a message at the top of the page, underneath the Address bar and you have to click on the message. Did that happen?

Have you checked in Control Panel...Add/Remove Programs to see if the update is listed there? (you'll have to put a check in the box that says "Show Updates" at the top of the screen.

If it was installed, try uninstalling it - then visit Windows Update again.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
