With Yahoo Messenger 8 installed, any time I want to open anything through messenger that will appear in a browser, it comes up with a strange URL address that doesn't work. Some examples would be if I get a message telling me I've received email and click on the link, messenger opens the IE browser to a page that doesn't exist. Or if I click on Yahoo Msgr Help, same thing. The kind of URL that appears looks like this:

http://%22http//login.yahoo.com/config/reset_cookies_token?.token=B37CCTHjhPiAEJL26J_Zrlpbrln2Nrxrb_T1TxBzLkMHgqSAbhAwqMVh1RtgJlaPhdJyMbqMrSkmyX6AKm3iW4NG4KC48XzUyduK_dA9MJYDoSDIc4GMF7pCAekRUHtTsC2UFGVEdYRRjsGcFJwng.RddwE95SG2KFuQcK4ULmET9h4Z6CP33le7PIkc_FRa5.82u3oaLUn_qbRXRFX79zOzU__12KaCZG9DZVzint6TDgqkJTBLzgnplfxQUBW5LVdkuwh6CQ7wDOgSMubbuCDJd9GAcuASQpwPUUJITklF14aGY8if5lgMQXCgJ7ZvdOApDk6ARf4FL7HwL0gVX0G.gIsubqMz9hwPgSpahck-&.done=http://us.rd.yahoo.com/messenger/client/%3fhttp://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/messenger8/

You can see that some strange characters (like "%22") are being inserted, and it looks like there might be some kind of cookies issue going on. I can't figure out how to fix it.

Another odd thing is that Yahoo Messenger chooses to open everything in IE despite the fact I have Firefox as my default program to open webpages.

Any help with this one would be appreciated.

Thanks!
