Hi all.

I've just had my hard drive clean-installed. I've reinstalled my Epson printer software using the CD.

I very clearly remember clicking an option for the printer not to include printing coloured backgrounds, so that black or coloured text only comes out on a white background.

And now I find I can't see this option anywhere. I often print through Irfanview, and I can't find this option there either.

Very mysterious - and very frustrating.

I'd appreciate any help with this.

That printer appears to no longer be supported at the Epson website.

The only thing I can suggest is to uninstall/reinstall the software on the CD.

The complete C45 reference guide is here.
I have a C88 using the same driver setup linked above and there is no adjustment for omitting background colors.
That is normally adjustable through the software using the printer. For example, you can tell IE to not print background color through the advanced menu section.
The only thing that comes to mind is that you possibly have ICM (Image Color Matching) selected in your Epson color management settings. That would tell the printer to match the colors as closely as possible to exactly what you see on your screen. It is not the default setting however. I haven't used Irfanview in years (use photoshop) but are you using a white background?

Thanks HitSquad and Louis, but your recommendations drew a blank.
