For backing up data files, use the burner just as you would use a floppy. Drag & Drop is supported.
The burn takes place when you eject the disk (or select the command from the shortcut panel). Unless you have changed preferences, the disk is not finalized after the write. This permits subsequent writes to the disk [open/close]. Each writes creates a new directory, and about 20kb disappears on each write.
The above applies to +r/-r disks.
RW disks are finalized after completing the write. Subsequent writes, first format, then write new files.
ISO images are tied to these types of disks:Autoplay and boot disks.
