Here goes....

I open a window for the internet it opens what looks like the usual window that explorer has when it cannot locate or contact to the internet.... but it is not a real explorer window. The address is:

iednserror.info/ie6/en.php?id=880142

Then when I try to enter an address manually it will redirect to that same addy.... I only have one spyware tool on that computer that is worth a dang and that is smithfraudfix..... well it has been able to disable that too!

So not being able to get a window open to download a good spyware removal tool.... how do I remove it manually??

I have searched the computer, but it, I am sure, has its ways of hiding amongst the 'real' stuff so I hesitate to delete anything until I know for sure!

Any help would be mucho appreciated!! Thanks... jj

Hello jessejane and welcome to BC :trumpet:

I see that you have posted an HJT log here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/134582/please-tell-me-what-my-infection-is/ Since you have posted this log, DO NOT make any further changes to your computer: deleting files, editing the registry, using special fix tools, installing or uninstalling software etc. as this will make it more difficult for the HJT team to help you.

Please be patient as the HJT team is very busy. DO NOT bump your log as the team may think that someone is already helping you. If you have not had a response in five days, add a response to the five days no response topic and paste in the link to your thread.

To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic. When you have been cleared by the HJT team and if you need this topic reopened, please pm a moderator.

Orange Blossom

Post reopened at member's request. HJT log is for a different computer.
