So I let my McAfee subscription run out awhile ago and I never bothered to renew until recently, but I can't get it to install on my computer. I've done pretty much what it said to do before posting a log, but the Spybot program doesn't seem to run when I click on it and the Spygate firewall says the windows doesn't recognize it as a vaild win32 application or some such.

I know there's something wrong with my computer and I'd just like to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Also, when I did that housecall scan, it found two vulnerabilities which were something like "Vulnerability in windows kernal that can elevate privlege and denial of service" The second said the first without denial of service and it had "931784" attached to it. When tried to fix it with the downloads, it would fail because of the file was corrupt or something.

I know it hasn't been exactly five days yet, but I thought I might add that I could not boot up my computer in safe mode(I got a stop error) and also system restore does not work as well. Also I would've changed the name of my topic, but I never bothered to read the guidelines/rules until after I posted it. Sorry.

I ended up doing a hard drive wipe with Killbox. Then I reinstalled everything and now it looks like my computer has nothing wrong with it.
