EDITED: Instead of ebay I will most likely get parts from this site.
BTE computer.
http://btecanada.com/

Never tried building a computer before and have been reading up on things however my first build will be a cheapy build mostly made from parts that are not to expensive...i know cheap probably isnt the best way to go however for a first try i might as well spend as little as possible...it may take a month or or more to actually have all the parts so this will be a slow process for me however if i can get an idea of what i need it would help me greatly.

Im trying to build a puter that can run both of these types of programs.

Addictive Drums...system requirements
PC: Windows XP, 2 GHz Pentium 4, 1 GB RAM, 3 GB free harddrive space, DVD drive
http://www.arbiter.co.uk/xlnaudio/products...ctive_drums.htm

Ezdrummer...system requirements
Windows XP or Vista, PIII / Athlon 1,8 GHz with 512 Mb RAM
http://www.toontrack.com/ezdrummer.asp

not sure what Athlon is...is that dual core?

Things i need to start project.

Computer Case

Motherboard

CPU

Memory

Video Card

Sound Card

Hard Drive

First thing I need is a computer case with power supply however Im not sure how many watts of power will be needed...any suggestions?

I actually like this case and may get this one just because its in my country and will be shipped faster...not sure about the USB audio?...not sure what that means...do the speakers have to be connected by usb?...just wondering.

I am no computer expert, i just built my first about a month ago but here is some advice from my small knowledge.

1) buy all the parts at the same time so you will know if they all work or not before their warranty expires
2) Newegg.com is a great place to buy parts, they have good customer reviews of everything, great prices and quick shipping
3) for the CPU this can't be beat for the price http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx...N82E16819116052
It is a pentium dual core E2180 at 2.0 mhz. Even though the P4 you are looking at is 3.0 mhz, it is only a single core. This e2180 will blow it out of the water for much less money.
4) I found this motherboard (a GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L) to be a great deal at about 90 bucks http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx...N82E16813128059
5) as far as hard drives go, get a SATA hdd over the IDE as it will be much faster. newegg.com also has some great ones by western digital and seagate under $75
6) For RAM this might not be top of the line RAM but it is solid 800 mhz 2 x 1 GB G. Skill RAM for about 45 bucks, can't beat it IMO, I have 4 GB's of it in my PC and it works great http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx...N82E16820231098

Hope this helps, take my advice for what its worth as like i mentioned before i am new to this stuff also. someone else will have to comment about the rest, I just use integrated sound so I don't have a soundcard and i don't know all that much about video cards.

you are right, I just assumed they would ship worldwide. i just did the live chat help and asked and they only ship in the US.

however, i would still look at that motherboard and cpu if I were you.
