Hi, I recently did asystem restore on my computer as I thought I had lost alot of my files.
I retrieved my files however my computer is not running right. I thought it was Macafee I had recently installed it so I uninstalled it. Nope still the same problems;
Windows Media Player does not load
I cannot run windows Help
On youtube the videos do not display
In general no adverts, flash features on the internet display
Bebo does not display
System restore does not display ( window freezes)
I tried to reinstall macafee but the instalation software does not run at all

I had thought it was flash or my internet security settings but as of yet I have not found a solution to help my cause.
If you could please give me any pointers to what has happened and how I can fix it!

Thanks

Peter

Have you tried system restore in safe mode?

Restart you comp. Wait for the beep. Hit the F8 button continuously until you arrive that the boot options page. Select safe mode, then Windows XP. You may see random stuff appear on the screen before the desktop loads, this is normal. Once you boot into Safe Mode, you will be prompted to continue running in safe mode, or to use the system restore.

Select system restore.
