Running Xp There are 5 accounts in this home computer. In mine, administrator, there is no 'start' , no icons, and task manager has been disabled. The other accounts are missing task bar and icons also but have a task manager so I can open aol exporer but can not download a fix because they do not have administrative privileges. Is there any way around this?? or any way to get to my files??

I was getting constant popups telling me my computer was infected and to install winantivirus . I ran adaware, avg, housecall, nothing helped. I have antispyware, antivirus, and firewall through verizon (but that started after my problems began)

Please help!

Thanks

Hello L Simmons,

I realize that it is frustrating when your computer isn't working properly. We are all volunteers here and sometimes things slip past us. I noticed that you posted an earlier thread here.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/134304/spyware/ Posting more than one thread about the same topic is called double-posting and is not allowed on BC. Additionally, you now have an HJT thread posted. Please read my reply to your earlier thread. This topic is now closed. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to send me a PM.
