I used Ccleaner but that did't delete the alphabetical history that pops up under the google search window when i type a letter or begin a sentence. I use the google page to search page. How can i delete the alphabetical history? Please? I can't figure it out! :thumbsup:

Please do whichever applies to you:

If you are using the Google Toolbar:
Your Google search history can be deleted from the Google Toolbar,
from the Google search box, and from your browser. Instructions for
each of these instances appear below: To clear your search history
from the drop-down text box on the Google Toolbar:

Click on the 'Google' logo to access the drop-down menu.
Select the 'Clear Search History' option. This will clear all the
previous searches from the drop-down box.
Please note that this only clears the search history from the Google
Toolbar, which is entirely separate from the search history stored by
your browser.

To clear History in Netscape:

Go to Edit ---> Preferences
Click the arrow next to Navigator ---> Click History ---> Click Clear
History --->Clear Location Bar ---> Click OK

To clear History FireFox:

Select Tools from the top menu ---> Select Options from the drop down list
Click the Privacy button in Left menu
Select History ---> click the Clear button ---> Click OK

=========

:thumbsup:

I can't click on the google logo on the google homepage. This dropdown alphabetically arranged history is on any search engine i use. Do you think their's another way to delete it? I right clicked on google logo above the search window and it did'nt do anything. Do you think it's programed to record search history, and if so where should i be able to find how to turn it off and delete it?

In Internet Explorer go to Tools>Internet Options>Content tab and click Autocomplete. In the box that comes up click Clear forms and Clear Passwords. If you remove the check mark from Forms they won't be saved anymore.

If the Google search engine is on your toolbar near the Address pane with the Google logo, all you do is left click. The option to clear search history is right there.
