I posted this topic a while ago and have had no replies. I could use some help. If this invader has truly taken over all my admin rights how can I change this? Must I reformat C drive and install a new operating system? Or will the virus still be there after this is done?
Thanks

malwareremover2007 infected my notebook last month. I'm running XP Tablet on a Fujitsu Lifebook P1510D. After the infection I installed Norton 360 and the popups stopped, appearring that all was well. The malware installed the tulip wallpaper as my desktop background and now I cannot change it. In the display properties dialog box the "Desktop" menu selection has been replaced with "Screensaver". Right clicking on an image and selecting "Save as Wallpaper" does nothing. I attempted to do a restore to a point prior to infection but the system will not allow this. I tried to restore from disk but the system does not allow the attempt. My BIOS has been locked with a password not of my doing. As I have no interal DVD, I must use an external USB optical drive. The drive is operational normally but on bootup I can select it as the boot drive and the system ignores it.
What to do?

Sorry for the delayed response but we are all volunteers and sometimes a topic thread will get missed.

I have already responded in your other thread here. Please do not start new threads or duplicate topics as this causes confusion and makes it more difficult to get the help you need to resolve your issues. Thanks for your cooperation.
