I can't get MSN working. It just happened all of a sudden, so now i am thinking that i may have deleted something off my computer that IM programs need, because Yahoo messenger doesn't work at all either.

The exact wording when i try to open the program is:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
Program C:\ProgramFIles\MSNMessenger\msnmsgr.exe
-pure virtual function call

Can someone please help me?

Try uninstalling it then reinstall . That's most of the recommendations I'm finding

I've already done that twice. I even tried a slightly older version. But it still didn't work. I have the original MSN messenger, but i really need a newer one.

Hi shishkabub.
There's a couple threads on the MSDN forums dealing with the issue. First thread would be the easiest to start with.
Thread 1. (See "kasms" post)
Thread 2. (See Michellefaeedinburgh's" post)
