the phone company here is offering High Speed internet, a Inspiron 1525 Dell notepad/ high enhanced and FREE wireless gateway. For just $44.95/mo*on a 3-year term. What is a wireless gateway. and is it secure?

I would imagine that would be a router, yes...it's secure (when properly set up).

When you connect to the Internet, you are said to be using a residential gateway if you use a router.
