Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account. yourmail.com (or .net), Server: 'server_name', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '+OK', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0FYour antivirus program is conflicting with your email program which is preventing your email from being downloaded.
You mention that you have no antivirus on the computer so that obviously is not the problem. There is something else you can try.
FOR OUTLOOK EXPRESS:
1. At Tools menu, choose Accounts
2. Choose Mail tab.
3. Either double click on your Account name, or highlight it and click on Properties.
4. Choose Servers.
5. Click My Server Requires Authentication.
6. Choose OK to complete.
For Outlook, it should be something similar. I'm not familiar with Outllook, so you'll have to root around for it OR someone may post the info here.
Send an email to yourself, see if you can send it then receive.
