Just saying Howdy!
:flowers:  :inlove:

On first impression, this looks like a pretty good bunch of people. Nice to meet you.

Hmm... Guess I should intro myself a little more. Guess I've been a geek for about as long as I can remember. lol.... I learned to program in Basic, and still own my first Compaq DOS 1.12 disk, I used to run BBSes, program on MOOs, and other old geek things no one probably remembers much anymore. I mod on a couple of forums (none here) so I apprecite the work you all do... it is a LOT of work on a busy site like this, Thanks.

Your first impressions are quite correct. The membership here is very friendly, especially towards newer users who come to BC for help or to read the tutorials and improve their knowledge. It speaks well for those who work hard here that BC as grown as much as it has over the last year, as the metrics continue to show. We hope you will not be a stranger, and lend a hand when you can help other members with problems.

From the sounds of it, you could have forgotten half of what you knew
and still know twice that of which I do.
(or might, given changing circumstances)

I jumped in a couple years into the 21st Century with my own PC.
Homebuilt by family, modified as I learned to do it.
It works OK, and I attribute that to things
I have learned here, to a great extent.

Maybe you could impart some of the basics of computer perspective,
as you are intimately familiar with them, so that understanding
might help the novices here apply the information
presented daily, with a bit more ease.

ricka0, we welcome you to the community, and hope you like it here. :flowers:
