Hi and welcome to Bleeping

For the VITAL backup feature of HijackThis to function correctly, you MUST place the program in it's own dedicated folder. At the moment you're running it straight from the zip and in a temp folder..

Go to My Computer (Windows key+e), double click on C:
Click File > New > Folder
Name it HijackThis and unzip/move or download the program again to this folder.

First of all, please go here to download the Sasser Removal Tool and follow the instructions on how to remove this infection.

You also have a Lop infection which came bundled with Messenger Plus.

1. Go to Add/Remove programs. Double click on "Messenger Plus!" (or click on Remove)

2. The "Messenger Plus! - Setup" is now displayed. Click on the Uninstall button.
Note: options displayed on the first screen are not related to the sponsor program.

3. The sponsor screen is now displayed (if you don't see it, search for it in your Task Bar). To prove that someone is currently reading the screen, you have to type the code that is displayed. Once you enter the code, press Uninstall.

4. If you entered the code properly, the program will ask you to confirm that you
want to uninstall. You must answer "Yes" to this question, else, you won't have another chance of uninstalling.

5. To complete the uninstallation, follow the instructions that are displayed (the first one is to close all your Internet Explorer windows, that's very important). When everything is complete, restart your computer and, hopefully the infection should be gone.

NB. If you want to keep Messenger Plus, download it again AFTER we've cleaned you. The Lop sponsored advertising program must be rejected. Read the installation procedures carefully.
When you get to the Sponsor Agreement, SELECT:
’I Refuse to give my support, install Messenger Plus! without the sponsor'.

Run HJT again and checkmark the boxes next to the following (if still present):-

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = res://shdocpe.dll/asst.htm
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [win32.exe] C:\WINDOWS\win32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [FastStart] C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntnut32.exe home
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [avserve.exe] C:\WINDOWS\avserve.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Datapile] C:\DOCUME~1\BADGER~1\APPLIC~1\PROXYM~1\SizeHtmMeow.exe
O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler.exe
O23 - Service: Windows User Mode Driver Framework (UMWdf) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\System32\wdfmgr.exe (file missing)

Now close ALL windows & browsers and click FIX CHECKED

Reboot into Safe Mode.
Tap F8 repeatedly when your machine starts to boot up.
Select 'Safe Mode' from the options that appear.

Set Windows to 'Show all files & folders'.
Click Start > My Computer> Tools> Folder Options>
On the View tab make sure that you:-
Select 'Show Hidden Files & Folders'
Uncheck 'Hide file extensions for known file types'.
Uncheck 'Hide protected operating system files'.
Click OK.

Uninstall PowerReg Sheduler via Add/Remove Programs.

Delete the following files in bold if still present:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdocpe.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntnut32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\avserve.exe
C:\WINDOWS\win32.exe

Delete the following folders in bold:

C:\Program Files\PowerReg
C:\DOCUME~1\BADGER~1\APPLIC~1\PROXYM<--Starting with these 6 letters if still present

Then click on Start > Run and type cleanmgr into the run box.
Make sure Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files and Recycle Bin ONLY are checkmarked and click 'OK'.

Reboot and run an online virus scan at any of the following locations:

http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/ - RAV
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/ - Panda
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/licence.php - BitDefender
http://uk.trendmicro-europe.com/consumer/p...call_launch.php - Trend Micro

Reboot once more and post a fresh HijackThis log in this thread and let me know how the online scan went.

Hey, thanks for the help.

The sasser removal tool didn't find the virus on my computer...im not sure if it was supposed to or not.

Also, Messenger Plus is not on the add/remove programs list, nor can i find the files associated with it (it isn't being used)...hopefully you could help me with that.

The RAV antivirus scan didnt find any problems. Here is my new log file.

You didn't manage to do this. This is very important !!

Download and install Ad-aware SE from here.
Once installed, run the program and in the bottom right hand corner click 'Check For Updates'. Update Ad-aware following the prompts and then close the program, we will use it later.

Download Killbox from here
1. Unzip KillBox to a convenient location.
2. Double-click on KillBox.exe.
3. Click "Delete on Reboot"
4. Paste this file into the top "Full Path of File to Delete" box.

C:\Windows\system32\shdocpe.dll

5. Click the "Delete File" button (red circle with a white cross).
6. Click "No" if asked if you want to reboot the machine.
7. Exit Killbox.

Reboot the machine into Safe mode.

Run HijackThis again and checkmark the following:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = res://shdocpe.dll/asst.htm
O23 - Service: Windows User Mode Driver Framework (UMWdf) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\System32\wdfmgr.exe (file missing)

Close ALL open windows and click Fix Checked

Open Ad-Aware SE

1.Close ALL windows except Ad-Aware SE.

2. Click on the ‘Gear’ icon (second from the left at the top of the window) to access the preferences/settings window.

3. In the ‘GENERAL’ window make sure the following are selected in green:

*Automatically save log-file
*Automatically quarantine objects prior to removal
*Safe Mode (always request confirmation)

-Under Definitions:
*Prompt to udate outdated definitions - set the number of days

4. Click on the ‘SCANNING’ button on the left and select in green :

-Under Driver, Folders & Files:
*Scan Within Archives

-Under Select drives & folders to scan:
*choose all hard drives

-Under Memory & Registry: (all green)
*Scan Active Processes
*Scan Registry
*Deep Scan Registry
*Scan my IE favorites for banned URL’s
*Scan my Hosts file

5. Click on the ‘ADVANCED’ button on the left and select in green:

-Under Shell Integration:
*Move deleted files to recycle bin

-Under Logfile Detail Level: (all green)
*include addtional object information
*DESELECT - include negligible objects information
*include environment information

-Under Alternate Data Streams:
*Don't log streams smaller than 0 bytes
*Don't log ADS with the following names: CA_INOCULATEIT

6. Click the ‘TWEAK’ button and select in green:

-Under the ‘Scanning Engine’:
*Unload recognized processes during scanning
*Scan registry for all users instead of current user only

-Under the ‘Cleaning Engine’:
*Let Windows remove files in use at next reboot

-Under the Log Files:
*Include basic Ad-aware SE settings in logfile
*Include additional Ad-aware SE settings in logfile
*Please do not check and make Green: Include Module list in logfile

7. Click on ‘PROCEED’ to save the settings.

8. Click ‘Start’

*Choose: 'Perform Full System Scan'
*DESELECT "Search for negligible risk entries", as negligible risk entries (MRU's) are not considered to be a threat.

9. Click ‘Next’ and Ad-Aware SE will scan your hard drive with the options you have selected and clean automatically.

10. If Ad-Aware SE finds bad entries in the registry or bad files, you will receive a list of what it found in the window. Right click on any of the bad entries and click on 'select all'.

11. Click ‘NEXT’

Ok, lets take a closer look inside. We seem to have a hidden reloader in there somewhere.

Download dll Compare from here.
1. Run dll Compare
2. Click on "Locate.com" and allow the scan to complete.
3. After the scan has finished click on "Compare" to scan for the files that Windows doesn't see. This step will take a few minutes to run.
4. If the box at the bottom of the screen contains any files, these are the ones that are hidden - Click on "Make a Log of what was Found".
5. When prompted to "View Log File" click on "Yes".
6. Notepad will open with the log file contents.
7. Copy & paste the contents in your next reply.

Please download FindIt.Zip from either of the following locations and unzip it to your desktop.

http://ralphcaddell.com/Uploads/FindIt.zip
http://home.earthlink.net/~firestrike/antispy/FindIt.zip

Open the FindIt folder and run the 'Find.bat' file.
A text file called Output.txt will be created.
Save this file and post it's contents in your next reply.

Then go here and upload the malicious file below for analysis at Kasperkey.

C:\Windows\system32\shdocpe.dll

Let me know the results.
