Spybot should uninstall completely through the add/remove programs list.
If it does not, reinstall it reboot and then try it.

Why are you uninstalling it?
Spybot is a pretty good program

1.5 is problematic. 1.52 resolves the issues.
Make sure you have that verion bewfore giving up on it
In the beginning there was the command line.

If you still want to uninstall it, after reviewing suggestions already given. Try uninstalling it in 'safe mode'.

I just uninstalled Spybot a few minutes ago and was told I needed to reboot. So did you reboot after the uninstall? If not, do it now, then check the add remove programs again to see if it is gone.
