I was just wondering if this is a good program? I have seen a lot of references on this forum, Is this good or better than AVG, Asquared, spybot, ad-aware? just looking for some opinions.

It seems to be the best one right now. For one thing, it detects trojans and most of the competition doesn't.

Superantispyware seems to be a good product, but should not be your ONLY anti-spyware application. I use it and AVG AS as replacements for Spybot and Ad-Aware.

I have to agree with jgweed.

The free version does not run in real-time mode...a purchased upgrade to the "Professional" version is required before this option can be activated. See SUPERAntiSpyware Free vs Pro Comparison Features. If your using the free version, use it as an on-demand scanner...no need to run at startup.

It is perhaps worth commenting and clarifying ; are you discussing avg antivirus program?

you will of course be aware that a squared, spybot and adaware and NOT antivirus programs?

A squared recently hit an update glitch that seems to have now been ironed out

spybot's recent update has given some a lot of problems , and adware se has now been withdrawn, leaving only adaware 2007; this is NOT compatible with older windows versions and it too has given some users unwanted problems;

my understanding is that spybot and adaware are declining in popularity as being effective scanning programs , and the one you have spotted, superantispyware, seems to be growing in popularity; it updates manually virtually daily and can be asked to do a complete thorough computer scan

I have the free version and am so far pleased with it Posted Image

I quit using Ad Aware after many years. I didnt like the latest version. Thought it was terribly slow and I didnt like the interface.

ASquared is a decent product. I have used it before. Not anymore though

Spybot 1.5 stinks! It takes about 2 minutes to load. 1.52 resolved that issue. I still use it

By far I think that SuperAntiSpyware is the best. After all, I learned about it on BC!
I have tried Dr Web Cureit and others but I think that Superantispyware is by far the best!
A full scan can take quite some time. But it appears to be very thorough
In the beginning there was the command line.
