I found bleeping computer when browsing the internet for a solution on how to remove IE6, so I can start using FF. I would not consider myself computer savvy, but I know that I am tired of "sending error reports" regarding IE6.

Cheers!

Welcome

You dont need to "remove" IE, you need it for microsoft updates, if nothing else. Simply download FF, install it and away you go!

IE is part of the operating system (now you know why Bill Gates got a KBE), and connot be uninstalled. And remember, you MUST keep it up-to-date with MS security patches even if you never use it.
Regards and welcome to BC!
