When I turn on my computer, I receive a blue screen and the following error: STOP: C0000219 [Fatal System Error] WINDOWS LOGON PROCESS TERMINATED UNEXPECTEDLY WITH STATUS 0xc0000034 (0x00000000 0x00000000) System Shut Down Than the computer restarts again and the same message comes up.

This machine is running windows xp home edition and is a few years old if that helps. I have not taken any steps about fixing it yet because I am not sure what to do.

I suspect that this is a registry problem, from what I read.

If it were me, I'd try a repair install of XP...but wait for a few more opinions.

In general this is either a virus problem or a corruption of Windows. There's very little information about it on the web (or in the references that I was able to check).

If you've got IE7 installed, read this article first: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=917964
Then try the repair install: http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

If that doesn't work, then I'd have to go with a wipe and clean install of XP.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
