Explorer.exe Is Beeing Detected As Virus.

Whenever i insert My flash USB stick or run a computer scan, EXPLORER.EXE is being detected as malware and it location is when i try to fix it or quarantine it the windows desktop disappears and than reappears than i know that it was the Microsoft EXPLORER.EXE process.

Why is it being detected as malware?

Am i infected?

The explorer.exe file is located in the folder C:\Windows. In other cases, explorer.exe is a virus, spyware, trojan or worm! See..BC Startup List Tab
The spelling and capitalization is also important to determining malware.
Is this an XP machine?
