I have just finished with the malware removal and was asked to post on this forum. I have a picture background and the icons on the desktop have a little box around the text that displays the color of the background color of the default backgroud (which is currently gray). Before my malware this was not a problem, but I have been cleaned of malware problems and still have this issue. I have right clicked on my desktop and under the arrange icons by title Lock Web Items is unchecked. The properties on my computer in the advanced tab under performance buttom and custom radial has a check mark in the Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

maybe...

Right click on Desktop>Properties>Desktop tab>Customize Desktop button>Web tab...

Uncheck everything in there. I only have "My Current Home Page" (unchecked) in there. If you see any other entries, they may have been added by the malware.

There was an extra item that was added. I unchecked and deleted it and it took care of the problem. Thank you very much.
